Helicopters play a crucial role in offshore oil and gas exploration. ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, and other major oil companies rely on operators like Bristow to transport crew to offshore oil facilities and assist in search and rescue operations. Former Bristow Group executive Mark Duncan sits down with GLG to discuss the relationship between Big Oil and helicopter services companies.

Mark Duncan is an independent consultant and advisor with an extensive track record of developing and growing businesses in the global offshore oil and gas services industry. He most recently served as a supervisory board member at Ampelmann Offshore Access Solutions. From 2005 to 2014, Duncan was Senior Vice President at Bristow Group, the world’s largest civilian helicopter services operator. Prior to that, Duncan served as Senior Vice President, Commercial, at Rockwater/Subsea 7. Duncan received his undergraduate degree in quantity surveying from Robert Gordon University and is a trusted authority on aircraft, aviation, flights and aerospace, strategic planning, and change management.
