GLG is seeking a highly-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Research Team as a Project Specialist to work with our clients with industry leading companies in Life-Sciences and Medical Devices. You will join a growing Global Research Team which collaborates with GLG’s sophisticated client base, including top clients who are focused on launching new & innovative products and services in the healthcare space. You will be responsible for participating in the creation and execution of qualitative and quantitative work that helps clients understand industry/market trends, gather end user feedback, test messaging/concepts, and more with some of the largest healthcare companies in the world.

GLG’s Corporate Research business helps companies across a wide variety of industries by providing them with the insights that they need to handle the critical strategy decisions they face. The team leverages its Survey, and Qualitative capabilities along with the world’s largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise to deliver quantitative and qualitative insights to inform their decisions in a highly custom environment. 

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):  

  • Assist with the design and facilitation of customized qualitative and quantitative research targeting a wide variety of specialized topics and populations 
  • Client-facing and customer service expertise including effective and professional oral and written communication as well as confident interpersonal interaction  
  • Compile and review reports of research data for clients (data analysis not required) 
  • Learn to manage multiple project timelines while prioritizing and multi-tasking to ensure important deadlines are met 
  • Navigate research requests with complex requirements and client-specific preferences 
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients 
  • Work towards interacting directly with clients to understand and meet their learning needs 
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding research content, network, and client information  
  • Effective collaboration across teams on multiple projects for a large portfolio of engagements  

At a minimum, you will have the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Market Research, Social Science, Life Sciences Research or related fields preferred) 
  • 2-3+ years of experience within the Market Research industry with an emphasis on quantitative (survey, database, etc.) and/or qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, product testing, etc.). 
  • Adjacent experience in related industries or roles, or additional education, with demonstrated ability to learn new skill sets may be considered.  

We would love if you also have most of these qualifications: 

  • Experience working with external clients, previous clients in specific industries like Technology/Payments, Live-Sciences/Healthcare, and Industrials is a plus. 
  • Superior writing, logic, and interaction skills; including oral and organizational skills 
  • Experience collaborating with team-members in a high-throughput, deadline-driven, process-oriented, client-servicing environment 
  • Experience analyzing results and/or communicating market research results to stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving environment 
  • Excellent conceptual and analytic skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize, identify, and solve problems 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, dedication, and patience allowing you to complete and rigorously review every stage of challenging project work 
  • Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment effectively while maintaining deadlines and strong cross team communication

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$86,000$90,000 USD
