World\u2019s largest platform for professional learning delivers peer-to-peer learning to social sector leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Boston, Massachusetts; June 14, 2016<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group Inc.), the world\u2019s leading platform for professional learning, today opened applications for its third class of\u00a0Social Impact Fellows<\/a>. The GLG Social Impact Fellowship gives curious and ambitious nonprofit and social enterprise leaders access to peer-to-peer learning from GLG\u2019s membership of 425,000 experts and thought leaders, at no cost. GLG announced the Fellowship\u2019s third year at the Collaborative, a conference for leaders on the front lines of social innovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to transform the way the world\u2019s top professionals share expertise, learn, and make decisions. The Social Impact Fellowship allows us to work with those professionals who\u2019ve committed their careers to critical social missions,\u201d said GLG CEO Alexander Saint-Amand. \u201cI\u2019m excited about finding a new class and learning with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

GLG Director of Social Impact Jen Field announced the call for applications in Boston at the Collaborative. At the conference, she moderated the panel \u201cBlurring the Lines: How the Exchange of Expertise across Sectors Drives Impact,\u201d joined by senior leaders from the Clinton Development Initiative, the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, and the Bridgespan Group.<\/p>\n

Fellows are creative problem-solvers who have demonstrated that they are among the most promising and gifted social sector leaders. They join GLG\u2019s community of leading investors, entrepreneurs, corporations and consulting firms, who learn every day from academics, current and former C-suite executives, scientists, policy specialists, former public sector leaders and other professionals. Fellows and their teams work collaboratively with GLG to leverage the breadth and depth of GLG\u2019s membership to inform strategic decisions and increase impact. \u201cWe are looking for curious, passionate, and visionary Fellows who take on big challenges with vigor and grit,\u201d Field explained. \u201cWe know we can best help those Fellows who love learning and wish to elevate it within their organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The competitive selection process is based on organizations\u2019 missions and models and on applicants\u2019 articulation of how GLG\u2019s resources would help them increase efficacy and scale at key moments in their organizational growth. Past Fellows and their organizations tackle a range of social challenges around the world \u2013 from community health and sanitation to economic development in Kenya and Ethiopia and disaster response in the U.S. (Watch a video of the 2015 Fellows\u00a0here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Applicants must be the Founder, Executive Director, President, or CEO of a nonprofit or social enterprise with an innovative model creating demonstrable social change. Organizations must have a multi-year plan in place, be 2-10 years old, and have an annual operating budget over $1 million. Applicants must be eager to learn from the world\u2019s leading professionals, from GLG, and from each other.<\/p>\n
