Senior Associate, Client Solutions (Public Equity)

GLG is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join our GLG Southeast Asia Public Equity Client Solutions team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will support and manage research inquiries from our Public Equity clients in Southeast Asia.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a book of clients, and manage multiple projects on a day-to-day basis.
  • Execute time- sensitive projects for GLG clients to help them make more informed investment decisions. The Associate will analyze client requests, and qualifying populations of topic experts.
  • Facilitate high-value engagements between GLG experts (including industry executives, independent consultants, academics, and former policy makers across all sectors) and our clients while maintaining industry-leading standards in Compliance. Engagements mainly consist of 1:1 telephone consultations, but may also consist of surveys, in-person meetings, panels, or other custom, in-depth engagements.
  • Work towards growing GLG client relationships. The Associate will develop relationships with GLG clients, who are leading investment professionals across APAC, via in-person client meetings, project execution, and telephone interactions.
  • Work closely with the GLG Network Member Team by developing relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders and business professionals.
  • Program live in-country meetings or thought leadership panel on relevant subject matter and news worthy events to our clients in collaboration with GLG Events and Content team.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience, ideally in consulting, banking, information services, market research, or other professional services or start up environment. Fresh Graduates with relevant internship experience in client-facing, account management or analyst roles are welcome as well
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skill
  • Outstanding communication skills and willingness to call and engage senior professionals
  • Curiosity about the financial markets, including trends and white spaces
  • Passion for problem-solving in a client service role
  • Ability to write, speak and present succinctly to deliver investment theses/ideas
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and interest, in some or all the following areas: Sales, negotiation, or networking with high-end professionals; and/or
  • Business development, corporate development, product development, Product and project management
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
