From the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, my team and I have been focused on how GLG can lend a hand.\u00a0Today, I am asking our clients and experts to help us accelerate\u00a0our efforts.<\/p>\n

We deeply believe that we have an obligation to use our capabilities to get that knowledge to the people who urgently need it to fight this pandemic.<\/p>\n As you may know, we have a longstanding Social Impact commitment, with dozens of Social Impact clients and more than 50 Fellows who get pro bono access to our knowledge marketplace. Now we\u2019ve decided to focus our Social Impact program on COVID-19 and dramatically expand the breadth of organizations eligible for free access to our platform.<\/p>\n In just the last week, a life science company reached out to us for help identifying labs to partner with on a rapid diagnostic test for COVID-19. A\u00a0government agency in need of critical supplies asked to speak with experts in equipment manufacturing. We made the connections, free of charge.\u00a0These are just two of several examples of how we\u2019re using our platform right now \u2013 and we want to do much more.<\/p>\n In situations like these, the world\u2019s needs can be met by the right expertise at the right moment. We want to\u00a0pitch in wherever we can. Some of these collaborations might end up being short-term \u2013 just a few phone calls with experts. Other organizations might be interested in joining our next class of Social Impact Fellows. And some might become longer-term partners in other ways.<\/p>\n
