(Senior) Recruiting Partnership Manager

Job Description

The role of the Senior Manager, Partnership Development is to develop partnerships that further increase GLG’s custom recruiting capabilities and expand our Network Member base that will help manage research inquiries coming from our client firms based in China. Currently at GLG, Partnerships are a way to strengthen our expert network by leveraging associations, recruitment firms, and individuals with large followings to help GLG source for hard-to-find experts and SMEs.

The Partnerships workflow is securely operated by utilizing a GLG internal app, where a Partner can provide referrals into GLG’s projects for a custom fee. This outlines the foundation for which the Partnership team operates. Since most of the workflow will be digital, understanding of Tech is a big help.

The candidate’s success will be measured in the amount of new network members brought into the GLG database and their subsequent completed projects. The ideal candidate will need to have an excellent “roll up your sleeves and get it done” attitude, with ability to problem-solve on the spot.

This is a key role with an exceptional opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive new initiatives with attention and support from the senior management team in Greater China. The role will work closely with senior leaders of the organization. This role is designed for someone who can move initiatives forward with autonomy from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly and efficiently identify and establish consulting relationships with professionals and experts best suited to participate in our highest priority client inquiries through telephone marketing and email.
  • Grow the GLG Network by recruiting key opinion leaders on a strategic/tactical mode, using recruiting campaigns, leveraging industry and professional lists, trade and business associations, referrals, and other relationships.
  • Interview prospective industry leaders as needed and capture critical data in GLG’s extensive profile management systems.
  • Consult with client-facing Research Managers to gauge clients’ needs and fulfill time-sensitive research requests for GLG clients by analyzing client inquiries and identifying and qualifying primary populations.
  • Understand clients research workflows and objectives, and thereby support client-facing colleagues in growing GLG client relationships by utilization of best practices when dealing with prospective and current industry experts.
  • Develop a working knowledge of GLG's core industry coverage to improve project and product service quality. Develop awareness of broader industry trends/dynamics relevant to expert recruitment and client servicing.
  • Work on other projects associated with building the GLG Network.

 Required Skills

  • Superior communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral, written and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, e-mail, in-person, etc.)
  • Strong ability to problem solve and impeccable attention to detail.
  • 7+ years of experience, preferably in internet research, inside sales, head hunting, recruitment, market research or customer service.
  • Mastery of MS Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Familiar with in FMCG/EI/Medical/TMT/Education industry recruitment
  • Think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth, and lead others to do the same
  • Demonstrate comfort with ambiguity.
  • Methodical and meticulous as a project manager. Needs to operate with utmost sense of ownership for the initiatives being managed
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degrees from top-tier colleges or universities
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English.
