Job Summary

GLG is seeking a Reporting & Analytics Senior Manager to join its APAC Finance team. The team helps accelerate top and bottom-line growth and drive strategic initiatives alongside business leaders across APAC.  The role will be a solid individual contributor and manage a small team, and report to the Senior Vice President of Finance. This role will be located in our Hong Kong office.

This position will provide thoughtful business intelligence, analysis and reporting to measure business performance and drive growth acceleration strategies across the APAC markets.  The role involves significant exposure to and interaction with key business stakeholders and requires the candidate to demonstrate exceptional business acumen, maturity and relationship-building capabilities.  We are seeking a motivated self-starter with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and communications skills.  The ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple high-priority projects, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial, can-do, get-things-done attitude.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop key business performance metrics, and build and maintain real-time automated monitoring tools and dashboards to inform senior management of the health of the business
  • Produce and distribute regular reports and presentations of business performance
  • Pioneer analyses and models, convert into sustainable operational insights
  • Make fact-based recommendations and develop own perspective on all analyses performed
  • Spearhead quantitative model and database reforms with definitive metrics
  • Act as data steward to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in various databases
  • Assist with other ad-hoc operational or financial initiatives to enhance overall performance management system
  • Closely coordinate between senior stakeholders within APAC and other corporate functions such as Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence and Developer teams across global GLG offices

Required Skills:

  • Analytic agility and creativity, with strong technical skills and ability to develop and deliver key insights
  • Devotion to accuracy, integrity and consistency of data and models
  • Elite database skills – Snowflake SQL and SFDC reporting skills are essential to success
  • Elite modeling and Excel skills – ability to build efficient, scalable, and intuitive models
  • Experience with Data visualization tools (i.e. Looker/Tableau/Qlik/Power BI)
  • Good Powerpoint skills with passion to create thoughtful communications and visually attractive presentations
  • Strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and senior management across APAC
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience.  Qualified candidates with less experience will be considered for Manager role
  • Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
