Our team of quantitative and qualitative market research specialists support all phases of a client engagement, from scoping and research design to panel selection, quality review, and data interpretation and visualization to meet our client’s objectives.

GLG is seeking an experienced qualitative researcher with strong skills across all phases of research, including upfront scoping & design, end-to-end coordination and management, and execution of qualitative moderating of IDIs, groups, and virtual projects through to backend analysis. This is an exciting new role to GLG where you would be on the ground-floor of building up our capabilities and processes in this area of research. This role will span a variety of sectors, including technology, medical device & diagnostics, bio-pharma, and industrials. You will partner closely with qualitative and quantitative focused engagement managers who are responsible for helping design and execute research for GLG’s sophisticated client base. We do very interesting work for our clients, spanning market understanding & sizing assessments, market trends, competitive assessments, product development and message testing, and customer experience research. You’ll work in with a highly motivated and growing group to employ research at a fast pace across a wide variety of topics, while building out our qualitative capabilities and branding.

Specific Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the execution and delivery of customized qualitative products to GLG’s clients
  • Support commercial success client interactions and excellent project delivery
  • Train or mentor early-career research professionals
  • Oversee qualitative projects from start-to-finish, including design, guide-development, project management, moderation, and analysis/read-outs
  • Develop, implement, and enforce best practices for qualitative project execution
  • Monitor and own responsibility for the health of key client accounts
  • Adhere closely to all critical GLG legal/compliance practices and any industry-specific requirements.

You will have most of the following:

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 7+ years of market research or similar experience
  • Experience scoping, designing, pricing, and pitching qualitative research approaches
  • Experience developing discussion guides and moderating across various types of qualitative research, including IDIs, focus groups, mini-groups, virtual groups, and online boards.
  • Experience interacting directly with clients on upfront business needs and research plans as well as project management throughout the research
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative research findings into executive summaries and reports, and delivering read-outs to clients.
  • Experience collaborating with team-members in a high-throughput, deadline-driven, process-oriented, client-servicing environment
