We are looking for motivated independent professionals with experience executing strategy and strategic marketing engagements for life sciences, pharmaceutical, and medical devices companies.

Typical projects are 2-8 weeks, including both part and full-time, and include commercial scale assessments, preclinical market assessments, clinical trial endpoint design, TPP evaluation, and other similar project types. This role is fit for talented consultants with recent, top-tier consulting experience who seek a flexible lifestyle. You will have full discretion to accept and decline projects based on availability and interest.

Candidates Qualifications:

  • Currently independent, i.e. not a full-time employee of any company other than a self-owned entity.
  • Native Japanese speaker
  • One of the following career profiles
    • minimum of 5 years in the life sciences/pharmaceutical practice of a strategy or management consulting firm (ideally, rising to level of Engagement Manager, Case Team Leader, or equivalent)
    • A minimum of 5 years in sales, marketing, strategy, or a similar role in a life sciences/pharmaceutical company followed by a minimum of 5 years as an independent consultant
  • Executive level presence and be skilled in story-lining insights and PowerPoint presentation development
  • Experience leading market assessment projects for drug development, medical devices, generics, or a related industry.
  • Experience executing the above using primary market research methodologies including expert interviews and survey design and analysis
  • Experience leading high visibility consulting engagements and communicating insights with senior clients
  • Keen creative, interpersonal, and analytical skills and ability to get to the root of client questions
