Network Development – Associate

GLG is seeking a Network Development Specialist for our Platform Operations team in Gurugram. The Platform Operations team identifies, locates, and onboards prospective GLG Network Members across all practice areas on projects across the globe, every day. The method of consultation typically involves an ad-hoc paid telephone interaction between the client and the expert.

 

As a Network Development Specialist you will be responsible for adding new Network Members to GLG’s existing Membership of 900,000 thought leaders and practitioners including business leaders, academics, former public sector leaders, and foremost subject matter specialists to advise our clients on their most pressing business challenges and questions. You will own the process of sourcing Network Members, connecting with, pitching to, and closing on new expert members, ranging from recruiting an expert in a few hours to sourcing ten luxury watch buyers over three days.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Onboarding Network Members Grow the GLG Networks by onboarding key opinion leaders based on tactical/live client project specifications as well as proactive/strategic recruiting. This is achieved using recruiting campaigns, leveraging industry and professional lists, trade and business associations, referrals and other relationships through LinkedIn Recruiter, Google and our existing database,
  • Phone Pitching: Contacting and pitching to a high volume of custom Network Members for GLG’s client projects, using effective sales and recruiting techniques in a fast-paced and competitive
  • Target Oriented: Meeting and exceeding goals and metrics on multiple high priority recruiting projects, at any given
  • Accountability: Independently managing your Expert recruiting pipeline covering sourcing, cold calling pitching, screening, and ensuring they sign up to become a
  • Phone Screening: Interview prospective industry leaders as needed and capture critical data in GLG’s extensive profile management systems.
  • Vetting Network Members based on client needs as well as briefing them on GLG’s business model, policies, compliance, and terms and conditions
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the client services team daily to track the overall project progress in tight time frames, depending on duration of project life
  • Compliance: Adhering to and upholding GLG’s compliance standards and company
  • Communication: Professional business communication, both written and verbal as the role requires persuading and negotiating with senior industry Network Members, i.e. CEO level and

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Good command over English language both verbal and written
  • Degree/Diploma certifying full business proficiency in French, German, Spanish or Italian language (R/W/S)
  • 1 - 4 years of work experience (experience in inside sales, recruiting, or fundraising is a plus, but not mandatory)
  • General knowledge of European culture, awareness of European business practices
  • High motivation to exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial goals
  • Passion for recruiting, sales, and/or conversation, with a successful track record in phone sales or outreach preferred
  • Confidence in making 30+ outbound cold calls each day
  • Fearlessness and ability to professionally manage bottlenecks and consistently close recruits
  • Hustle, intensity, and a can-do attitude
  • Polished and persuasive verbal and written communication
  • Ability to receive and implement feedback and coaching in a fast-paced environment

 

 

Career Progression

 

As you develop and demonstrate best-in-class recruiting and project execution skills, you will have the chance to progress to Senior Associate. In this role, you will work alongside Team Leaders and learn further skills relating to interviewing candidates, mentoring new hires, managerial skills as it relates to project allocation and collaborating with different teams,, conducting training assessments etc.

Shift Timing

This is a shift-based role and a 9-hour shift will be assigned between 10:30am IST to 1130pm IST (9-hour shift covering EMEA region – 6:00am to 6:00pm GMT).
