Associate, Finance

Experience Level: Mid

GLG is seeking an Associate to join the Business Partnering Finance team to partner with the business to sustain and accelerate significant top and bottom-line growth. Our businesses are delivering robust revenue growth and are well positioned to maintain this growth trajectory going forward. This individual will be joining an enthusiastic and determined finance team that provides strategic insights, operational advice, and has P&L oversight to our various Americas business units that include Corporate Markets and Law. This position will be located in Austin office and will report to a Sr. Director on the Finance team. 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who demonstrates a willingness to learn, is a strong self-starter with solid analytical, financial analysis, and critical thinking capabilities and has a get-things-done attitude. 

 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting – Assist in the development of the financial plans for one to two business units including reliable revenue and cost forecasting processes utilizing business manager inputs and internal databases, using own judgment and knowledge of historical performance / trends. 
  • KPIs – Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the key metrics, operations, and current trends of each distinct business. Perform other ad-hoc analyses and modeling based on evolving business needs. 
  • Presentations – Assist with the production of monthly and periodic financial reporting materials and the creation of presentations regarding business performance to be viewed by Senior Management and the Board of Directors. 
  • Business Partnering – Develop close working relationships with the business leaders and their direct teams to drive data analysis, P&L oversight, and specific BU initiatives.  

Our ideal candidate: 

  • BA/BS degree  
  • 2-5 years of work experience, ideally in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or other highly analytical role;  
  • Transactional business revenue forecasting experience highly desired 
  • Analytic creativity, insight, and agility with strong technical skills 
  • Devotion to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency, and data integrity 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time 
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint 
  • Experience with salesforce.com and business intelligence tools (Looker by Google) preferred, but not required 
  • Experience with SQL (Snowflake) is highly preferred

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

 

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$69,500$100,000 USD
